Orlando and Canaveral National Seashore breeding marshes.<\/strong> Part 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

In review of my Florida bird collection, I am excited to share three posts of fauna and flora.
\nThe spring time wildlife activity in surrounding wetlands, invites nesting in the marsh, swamps, and the seashore areas of Orlando. Always the challenge to photograph the nesting birds with telephoto lenses with care to not be too close and disturb wildlife!<\/p>\n

The nesting habitat of many Cattle Egrets, Great Egrets and Yellow Foot, Cormorants, Herons, and the Common Moorhen enjoy the rich feeding areas of the Orlando marshes. The American Alligator, snakes, lizards, and ants were also very active in spring time including the female biting Mosquito! I indeed use my protective netting at Cape Canaveral<\/a> especially on walks and boats through the marsh areas.<\/p>\n

This first post is a view of nesting birds during spring time in the surrounding wetlands. Mainly beautiful Egrets raising young, caring for eggs, By request I have illustrated many images of Egrets turning eggs in the nest.<\/p>\n

I note for water assignments only,\u00a0 I did use my\u00a0 DSLR waterproof Olympus body with designated waterproof zoom lenses. No housing required! The only time I put away my non water proof cameras. My Nikon gear is too valuable to be damaged in water environments or working in Kayaks.. Common sense must take precedent.<\/p>\n

If visiting Orlando, be encouraged to visit the local nature parks and wetlands, especially the beautiful Cape Canaveral. The pocket camera can produce amazing results. Just a good eye for an image to capture the moment, especially this wonderful environment of Florida shores.<\/p>\n
