Lake Artemesia is such a beautiful public park, an amazing habitat for water life. Surrounding the lake are especially planted areas to encourage birds in all seasons. There are wonderful sealed walkways and other trails to the lake edge. To enjoy water reflections, especially in the fall. Fauna from Beavers, Turtles, Snakes, Herons, Egrets, Woodpeckers, Swans, Barred Owls, and the Red head Waterfowl and more. There are so many migrating birds. Also hosted walks by the Prince George’s Audubon Society , usually 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. The Luther Birding Trail attracts many bird watchers and recreation walks are a popular family activity, also dogs on a Leash.
