The Friends of Patuxent Calendar 2025 has been selling with much interest. Happy my landscape photo is on the front cover.
The calendar showing nature within the Patuxent Research Refuge. The PRR is famous for many fauna and flora studies, and featured of course in time with ‘Rachel Carson’s determination to save the Bald Eagle and her noted book ‘Silent Spring’.
The breeding of Whooping Cranes at the Patuxent is another major success story in history. The calendar launched in November is still on sale illustrating other wildlife within the PPR, on sale at the Visitors Center in the bookshop open Wednesday to Sunday.
